Camo challenges are a lot different in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
Getting gold is easier than ever now 🤩
The camo challenges have received a major overhaul in MWII. No longer will you have to spend dozens of hours unlocking the same camos over and over. Instead, you will be encouraged to use every single weapon in order to unlock all of the camos.
Each weapon has four base camos that are unlocked from completing rather simple challenges such as a certain amount of kills, kills while ADS, double kills, kill streaks, etc. Once you unlock that camo, it is unlocked for every single weapon.
This means no more challenges to force you to get mounted kills! It also means that your favorite camo might be locked behind a challenge for your least favorite weapon.
To get gold camo for a weapon, all you have to do is complete the four base camo challenges and then you'll unlock the new challenge for gold camo. After you get gold camo on all weapons in a certain class (Assault/SMG/LMG/etc) then you can unlock platinum for each of them. After you get 51 platinums, you have the ability to get polyatomic. After 51 polyatomic, the final camo called Orion becomes available.
There is still a grind to finish all of the camo challenges, but it now feels far less repetitive and you will be more likely to try out every single weapon available.

Sounds really nice. It makes players use more weapons than the future meta and it makes a little more unique to get your camo for your favorite gun. 😍
I’ve already been using weapons I normally wouldn’t. It’s actually a lot of fun once you get used to using a weapon that was at first unfamiliar to you.

Customization is a big part of COD.
there are many weapons available for camouflage in the game
this is a great change, previous version had so many many challenges that one never get to reach diamon or platinium... just to many challenges and too many weapons...
I agree that is a solid change, but I 100% hate the UI for navigating through the camos.
The camouflage in this type of video games are essential for victory in each of them, and games like this I like, I once played one that even had to hide among the tall plants and even trees to avoid detection, best of all is that when you surprise the enemy and you have the knife stuck in the heart of the target, good video brother, greetings.
Ghillie suits are the perfect thing to wear when planning to hide in the grass.
The polyatomic probably looks the best of them all.. Well for me it does....
I think switching it up actually keeps people interested in the game.. Who knows.....
